Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information Ledgerlane Financial collects on ledgerlanefinancial.com, how we use it, and who we share it with. Ledgerlane Financial is a brand of Ledgerlane Financial Services ("we", "us"), which also runs other consumer brands. The short version: when you submit the quiz, we share your information with partners that offer the service you asked about, and we are paid for it. Under some state laws, that counts as a "sale" of personal information.
What we collect
Information you give us: your first and last name, email address, mobile phone number (if you choose to give it), state, and your answers to the quiz. Quiz answers can include things like the type and amount of debt you have, your rough credit range, income range or homeownership details, depending on the service.
Information about your consent: when you submit, we keep a record of the exact consent wording you agreed to, the date and time, the page address, your IP address and your browser's user agent.
Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, and how you arrived, including campaign codes in the link you clicked (such as UTM parameters and the Facebook click ID, "fbclid"). Cookies and pixels collect some of this; see below.
We do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth or bank account details, and we do not check your credit. If a partner asks for these, it does so under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
To show you your quiz results and match you with a partner for the service you asked about.
To contact you about your results by email, and by phone call or text if you gave a number and agreed.
To keep proof of your consent and to respond to complaints, disputes and legal requests.
To spot repeat submissions. If you submit more than once, we may combine the records so you aren't matched or contacted more than needed.
To measure and improve our ads and pages, prevent fraud, and keep the site working.
To comply with the law.
Who we share it with
Partners. When you submit the quiz, we share your name, contact details, state and quiz answers with one or more of the partners listed for your service on our Partners page (ledgerlanefinancial.com/partners), such as debt relief companies, lenders, brokers or insurance providers. Partners may see a summary of your request without your contact details before one of them is chosen to receive it. We are paid for this. Each partner uses your information under its own privacy policy, so please read it.
Service providers. Companies that help us run the business, such as website and database hosting, email and text message delivery, calling and AI voice providers, customer relationship software and analytics. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
Advertising platforms. We share information with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure and improve our ads, as described below, and may do the same with Google and TikTok when we advertise there.
Legal and safety reasons. We may share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business.
Partners are independent companies. This policy does not cover what they do with your information.
Cookies, pixels and the Meta Pixel
We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your quiz progress and measure our ads.
We use the Meta Pixel on our pages. It lets Meta see that you visited, viewed the quiz or submitted it, and links this to your Meta account if you have one. Meta may use this to measure our ads and decide who sees them.
We also use Meta's Conversions API, which sends similar event information to Meta directly from our servers. This can include your email address, phone number, name and state in hashed (scrambled) form, along with your IP address, browser details and the Facebook click ID. Meta's use of this information is covered by Meta's own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad settings in your Meta account. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the quiz from working.
Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing for advertising. We record the signal with your request and don't send your information to advertising platforms. Sharing your request with partners so they can respond to it is something you ask us to do when you submit the quiz.
Consent records
When you agree to be contacted, we store a copy of the exact wording you saw, the time, the page address, your IP address and your browser's user agent. We keep this record so we and our partners can show that you agreed, and we may share it with the matched partner or with a regulator or court if asked.
How long we keep it
We keep your quiz answers and contact details for up to 3 years after your last contact with us, and consent records for 5 years, or longer if the law requires it or we need it to resolve a dispute. Consent records may be kept longer than other information because consent can be challenged years later.
Partners keep the copies they receive under their own retention rules.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website or system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee it.
Your choices
Emails: click "unsubscribe" in any email from us.
Calls and texts: reply STOP to any text, tell the person or agent on any call, or email [email protected]. We will stop within a reasonable time, and no later than 10 business days.
Do Not Call: you can ask us to put your number on our internal Do Not Call list using any of the methods above. You can also register with the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov, though that does not stop calls you have agreed to.
Partners: opting out with us does not opt you out with a partner that already has your information. Contact that partner directly too; their details are on our Partners page.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:
Know and access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy. Delete it. Correct it if it's wrong. Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of it, including for targeted advertising.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): in the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described above (identifiers and contact details, quiz answers about your finances, internet activity, and general location from your state and IP address). We "sell" identifiers, contact details and quiz answers to matched partners, and we "share" identifiers and internet activity with Meta for advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: you can opt out at any time by emailing [email protected] with "Do Not Sell" in the subject line, or by calling (855) 555-0142. After you opt out, we will not sell or share your information going forward. It does not reach back to information already sent to a partner; contact the partner to make a request with them.
To make any request, email [email protected] or call (855) 555-0142. We will need to verify your identity, usually by matching your email or phone number to our records. You can use an authorized agent, who must show us your written permission. We aim to respond within 45 days.
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.
Children
The site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Staff and providers outside the US
Some of the people who call or text you on our behalf, and some of our service providers, may be located outside the United States, including in Canada and other countries. Your information may be accessed from those countries, where privacy laws may differ from US law. We require these staff and providers to protect it and use it only to provide services to us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we use information we already have, we'll tell you as the law requires.
